Do As I Say, Not As I Do

I would have boxed the ears of any client who walked into a setting as unprepared as I was earlier today.  Preparation does not necessarily mean you are prepared.  A small bunch of colleagues gathered online for a hands-on demonstration of a live discussion tool so we could assess its value to a broader group.  As the discussion leader, I was not technically prepared for everyone wanting that role, nor did I know how to make it happen.  I do now! We did have a lot of laughs, and, we are going to do it again next week.
