Writing at 49 Florida Schools Shows Signs of Memorized Passages

My life-long fascination with standardized testing began on the first day of 11th grade when my Spanish teacher greeted the class with “I’m not here to teach you Spanish, I’m here to prepare you for the Regents.”   Regents exams are the forever apogee of standardized testing in New York State.   This, from the Orlando Sentinel caught my eye.
